let's fastforward a bit.
to 2006.
i'm finally getting songs recorded.
both of these songs are the same.
one's electric with drums,
the other is acoustic with electric.
name's lowlight.
it's the song that started it all for me.
made me want to make more just like them.

anyways,
i usually will play a guitar part first,
and immediately after i hear the rest of the
parts in my head.
i hear an electric version.
i hear an acoustic version.
i hear a version with drums and without.
i don't have any words.
i have a vague idea of words, actually.
i'll start playing some more on
my acoustic, and i'll make up words
on the spot.
i never usually record words
(on any song i sing) twice.
it's always on the spot.
words mean a lot to me,
but i can't remember lyrics for a damn.
i don't like writing them down,
because that'll make me forget the musical parts.
it's weird, but it works for me.
in fact - i still record like that.
and the finished product isn't too bad eh?

as for news from the homefront,
my brain's running on overload.
processing too much this week.
my brain my body my heart my soul
being pulled in every which direction
at once.
and it's hurting my head.
i need sleep.
making big big changes here very soon.
i owe it to myself.
taking who i was
and changing the channel.
small steps towards a different future.
